1. Pick up a Gravity Peer Review paper from the front counter. 
2. On your Do Now page, write today's date and respond to: 
"If the Earth was an apple, I think the moon would be about the size of a ____"

Today's Goals:       Scale of our Solar System    
How big are the planets? How far apart are they? How can we better understand the HUGE sizes and distances in our solar system?

Homework:                
Finish Scale Practice (links above) if not done in class.

Do Now: 
1. Take out your Scale Formatives HW worksheet to be checked. 
2. With a neighbor, compare answers to #2. What does "scale" mean in this context?

Today's Goals:       Scale of our Solar System    
How big are the planets? How far apart are they? How can we better understand the HUGE sizes and distances in our solar system? Kicking off our studies of SCALE today. (notes and discussion)

1. Let's discuss: "Is the Moon Falling?" Get your half-slip back from table 1 or 2. 
2. Take out your Gravity Planning Sheet- check that you have DATA in your answers to #4 and #5. If you do not, they are incomplete and you cannot join your group again until they are done!

Today's Goals:       GRAVITY    
1. Need to fix any more parts of your Moon/Seasons pages? 
3. Start/continue to build your Gravity webpage.     Webpages due: Sunday at midnight
On the side, I'll be meeting with people about SEASONS.

Do Now: 
1. Pick up a "Is the Moon Falling?" half-slip from your teacher when you come in. Complete it to the best of your ability. Be sure to put your name on it!
2. Turn in your Gravity Lab into your class inbox. (Periods 2,3,4 & 5)

Today's Goals:       GRAVITY    
1. First, you will PLAN your Space Pen Pals Gravity webpage.      Planning Sheet here!
2. Next, you will work with your team to fix any errors on your Moon and Seasons pages using past Peer Review Checklists. 
3. Finally, you will start building your Gravity webpage.     
On the side, I'll be meeting with people about SEASONS.

2. On your Do Now page, write today's date and respond to the following: 
"When moving from Earth onto Mercury, the strength of gravity decreases because: __________"

Today's Goals:       GRAVITY    
First, you will PEER REVIEW a classmate's Seasons webpage as part of the Space Pen Pals project!    Then, we'll jump into some scenarios where the strength of gravity will CHANGE.

1. Meet with your Space Pen Pals team briefly. Pick up a sticky note (or 3) from the front counter and make a note of what else needs to be finished on your Seasons webpage tonight. Be sure to divide up the work evenly!

We continue our study of Gravity! What is it? How does it control the layout and patterns of motion in our solar system? What affects its strength?
